Don't use 'em if you have to move 'em
By Working Pro Singer
These cabinets would probably be great if you were to place them in a church or use them as a house PA in a club, but WARNING!!!
If you have to actually use them in a working band forget it. They won't hold up to any abuse at all. Every working musician knows that at some point a speaker is going to get knocked over or rained on. It just happens.
I have purchased 4 of these in the last 6 months (unfortunatly not through Amazon) and I can't keep 2 of them working at the same time. I had one that dumped on me within the manufacturers warranty period and took it to my local Mackie repair shop and they've had it for a month and tell me they are waiting on parts from Mackie. Right now out of the 4 (remember this is within a 6 month period) I have 1 that works, but it tipped over while I was packing up the other night so I might now have any that work now. I'll be switching back to my passive speaker set up and hopefully I can get a couple of these working and use them for monitors. They sound great, but aren't road worthy.
Come on Mackie! Field test your stuff for ruggedness. When you're tired at the end of the night, packing up at 2:00am, you don't want to have to bubble wrap your gear before you load it in the truck.
I bought them because of the Mackie name and the reasonable price. I guess regardless of the name...you get what you pay for.

third one works fine
By Orlando
I had to order four of these to get two that work. One didn't turn on and the second turned on but delivered no sound. Amazon sent two replacements quickly and I sent the first two back. These two work fine, sound fine but I am a little worried about how long they will hold up. If you have the money, I'd go for JBL, Yamaha, or QSC. If you're cheap like me, you might get what you pay for.

Awesome Speaker
By Carlos De Cunha
I use one of these at home for practice and use the same speaker on stage as a monitor.
Great quality sound... Can't complain.
As mentioned above the speaker could be used as a monitor by simply tilting it on the side which is equipped with the correct angles to make it a monitor.
Controls on the back makes it easy to adjust your volume levels, etc when using it as a stage monitor.
Controls include - volume and 3 band EQ along with a freq control.
Speaker has a nice moderate blue led on front that indicates it's on, a red clip led to let you know you're overloading (when it's lit all the time).
400Watts (peak) provides adequate amplification for stage and moderate use. You could pull off small gigs with one of these units...
Great powered speaker for the money.
PS
I also bought the TH15A on Amazon, which is a great package - has a 50" cable, 15" 400W Powered Speaker and a tripod stand to mount the speaker in a hall or when using it Live. The Th12A (this product) has the same wattage but has a smaller speaker (12") and doesn't come with the accessories I mentioned above.
