5Blown away
By Bryan L. Stamps
My band used to have a PA consisting of 2 JBL Eon 15 G2s (they cost around $1400 for the pair). We had lots of problems with them overheating and crapping out on us. We now have just one Alto TS112a (I decided to pick just one up for now to test it out and see how it sounds) and it puts out clearer, fuller sound than both JBL Eons combined. I will definitely be picking up another one in the near future. The majority of reviews I've read have been DJs talking about how good these things sound, but I couldn't really find any reviews talking about how they sound for band rehearsal. So for those of you out there looking for a review specifically talking about these speakers being used for band rehearsal, here you go... There is nothing even remotely close to this price range that compares. These are nearly $1000 cheaper than the pair of JBL Eons and they sound about twice as good. I'm sure these would sound killer for small to medium sized gigs as well. I will update my review after we get the chance to really crank these up and see how they hold up after hours of loud use.

5DAMN THESE ARE GOOD!!! Better than the Mackie equivalents
By Ryan G. Fitzpatrick
Just got two of these from guitar center. I am blown away! The guy there recomended these over any other 12's then tested them side by side with the 12in Mackie equivalents. The Mackie's (Mackie Thump Series TH-12A) were alright and maybe I would have thought they were fantastic, until I herd the Alto's. The Makie's had a little bit rougher sound, like they weren't handleing the drum and bass mix as smooth nor cleanly as the Alto's which are rated to have an 800watt peak vs. the thump's at 400watts.
I've been testing them today in my house and I just can't believe how good they sound! I am using a Yamaha analog mixer (Yamaha MG124CX 12 Input Stereo Mixer with Digital Effects) I went through various genre's of music testing out how my pair sounded. Everything is fantastic. My vocals have never been so clear and responsive, and my spaceship like keyboard finally has a worthy set of speakers to play through.
The pa I was using before, always had a loud buzz hum, which was barely tolerable as I seemed to be sensitive to it. You know how some humm buzzes can make your head feel funny?
NO BUZZ NO HUMMM! There is a slight hissing sound and that occurs when only the speakers are on and it's the least of any speaker I have had yet. As soon as I turn on the mixer it almost completely disappears and becomes very quiet!
Bottom line I really couldn't be more pleased with these ALTO's, though I have only had them a week. We'll see how well they hold up. I will come back in a few months and give an update and or will update if anything goes wrong. God forbid something should go wrong I will report back here the problem and how Alto deals with it under the 1 year warranty. I have high hopes for these to last a while though. We'll see...

If you are a DJ - BUY THESE!
If you want an AMAZING PA - BUY THESE!

I do not work for ALTO, I'm just a guy whom really loves these and wanted to share. Thanks!

5TS 112A Great deal!!!
By M. Pilkerton
I A-B'd these with the TS115A, and I actually preferred the 12s. For the money, this is a GREAT DEAL. Especially in comparison to other active speakers in their price range. I used 2 of these for the first time as front wedges last week in a small club and they performed flawlessly all night. Only had them at aprox. 30% power and they were plenty loud enough. I plan on using these along with my Carvin 12s (also active and similar in sound) for big stages in the future, and I have no doubt they will be great. If something happened to them. I would make the purchase again. Best bang for your buck.
