Great Sound

I bought this speaker for use in my backyard because its so big and normal speakers or landscape speakers do not provide enough sound. This speaker is not only compact and easily moved around but if you get the speaker stand as well you can have sound envelope your entire space.. I love it thus far sounds great the big plus is the ability to connect your IPOD, I am using a new nano that allows for Radio and it sounds crisp and the sound is amazing.. I highly recommend this speaker....Looking forward to a great summer of fun and tunes!!!!

Use these as stage monitors, for my band

I now own two of these type of powered speakers. I use them as a "personal" stage monitor w/ my band. (we don't play very loud) One of the two is the model w/ the built in USB/MP3 player, so I just fill up a USB memory drive, w/ some tunes, and play some BGM, between sets. Being relatively small in size, I just mount them on a basic tripod mic stand, and put (one of) the speaker right next to me. If I need to adjust the volume of the "stage monitor", while the band is playing, I just spin the speaker around, and have the volume control in easy reach. So far, they work very well in this application. The audio signal feeding these speakers (in the band setting) is a "aux mix" on a small Mackie audio console.... which makes for a quick, and simple set up. One of the best things about these speakers, was the price.... I purchased a "used" one on Amazon, for approx. $110 (w/ free shipping) from this site (Amazon), and it was "as described"... "like new". The other speaker (the one w/ the built in MP3 player), was purchased on a different site (the woot site), for approx. $120, w/ a $5 shipping fee. (sold as "new", in the box) That purchase price was only for a short time, (only available for a few hours, on one day )... it appeared to sell out, very quickly.

Great sound! great sound quality and the speaker size is just perfect.

This is a great product I just received it yesterday and tested with my ipod and the sound was awesome. The sound quality is perfect and you can adjust it. I try the mic and definitely this is a great item. I really recommended it.
